Stewie2k Officially Leaves Team Liquid
Team Liquid have officially parted ways with Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip, who has for the last month has been on the team’s bench. The player is rumoured to join Evil Geniuses’ updated roster.
Stewie2k, who is now 24 years old, joined Liquid in late 2018. With them he won multiple big events in 2019, among which were EPL 9 Finals, IEM XVI Chicago, and BLAST Pro Series: Los Angeles, as well as became the champion of Intel Grand Slam 2.
The previous season has been rather unsuccessful for the team, so in December the organization benched Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip and Michael "Grim" Wince. To replace them, the organization acquired Joshua "oSee" Ohm from Extra Salt and Richard "shox" Papillon from Team Vitality. Most recently Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella returned to Liquid after a year in 100 Thieves’ VALORANT roster.
Currently EG are down to two players – Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte and Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov. According to unconfirmed information, the roster will be finalized by Stewie2k, Timothy "autimatic" Ta and William "RUSH" Wierzba.
