Liquid Defeated by Gladiators in Deciding Match of DPC Regional Finals
The Regional Finals of the Western European Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 Tour 1 has concluded. In its grand finals Gladiators managed to defeat Team Liquid with a 3-1 score, thus claiming $50,000 in prize money and 250 DPC points. Meanwhile the runner-ups received $25,000 and 130 points.
Gladiators consists of former Team Tickles players, who earlier managed to place 2nd in the DPC’s first division. In the upper bracket of the regional finals they defeated Tundra (2-0) and lost to Team Liquid (0-2). Then they managed to outplay OG in the lower bracket and won the deciding series with a 3-1 score.
This weekend the finals also concluded in two other regions. In South America, the first place was secured by beastcoast, who defeated Infamous with a 3-0 score. Meanwhile BOOM Esports emerged victorious in Southeast Asia after outplaying T1. The finals in other regions will be held this weekend, on February 18th – 20th.
