Bubzkji Out of Astralis
Bubzkji Out of Astralis
Astralis have announced that Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen is no longer part of their CS:GO roster. The player explained that it was his decision to terminate the contract with the organization. Now he will work with a Danish television channel TV2 as an analyst.
Now 23-years-old player Bubzkji joined Astralis in 2020 as a sixth player, just months before VALVE introduced new rules limiting the use of additional players. In April 2021 he started playing for the main roster as a replacement for Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz, who transferred to Ninjas in Pyjamas. Following a number of disappointing results, the team benched Bubzkji in October.
Last November Astralis made a big line-up change by parting ways with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, player Emil "Magisk" Reif and Danny "zonic" Sørensen, as well as replacing them with Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and Alexander "ave" Holdt. The updated roster managed to place 3rd at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals, but later finished 9th – 12th at IEM XVI – Winter and 5-6th at BLAST Premier: World Final 2021.
Currently the team competes at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022, where they managed to place second in Group B after losing to OG (8:16; 8:16) and defeating NAVI (19:17) and MIBR (16:9). This Friday, February 4th, they will face either EG or BIG in the semifinals of the tournament’s Play-In stage.
