BOOM Win GAMERS GALAXY

BOOM Esports have become the winners of GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022. In the tournament’s grand finals they defeated Tundra Esports, claiming $109,000 in prize money. Meanwhile the runner-ups received $54,500.

BOOM started the event by placing first in Group B with a 3-0 score, thus advancing directly to the playoffs upper bracket. Later however they lost their very first series to Tundra (1-2), thus dropping to the lower bracket. There they managed to beat Secret (2-0), Spirit (2-0) and Nigma (2-1). The grand finale concluded with the 3-2 score in their favour.

Playoffs Bracket:

For BOOM Esports, this is their third victory this year – recently they also managed to win the first DPC division and the Regional Finals in Southeast Asia. Earlier last year they also became the winners of Mineski Masters and BTS Pro Series Season 9: SEA.

GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022 was played in Dubai from March 2nd to 6th. Initially the line-up featured ten teams, however later the organizers decided to exclude Virtus.pro. The tournament’s prize pool was set at 1,000,000 AED, which equals about $272,500.
